Hello, and I hope this post finds everyone reading it well. I wanted to post a few brief updates about what is happening writing/book-wise right now:
- A couple of days ago, I made the decision to delist the Economy of Blessings trilogy. I have learned and grown a lot as a writer since publishing the trilogy, and there are many things I would do differently looking back now, especially regarding how I approached the books’ political elements and the main romance. As a self-published author, I have the ability to take my books down and I ultimately decided that it would bring me some peace of mind to do so. I may try to go back and rework major elements to put the books back up at a later date, or I may not; I am still deciding. For those of you who read/reviewed them already, thank you so much. I hope you can understand the decision I made, even if it is an unconventional one, and I hope you may still be interested in reading some of my other works.
- I’ve re-worked/expanded some of the When We Walked in Memory stories that I posted a while back. I also commissioned the cover artist, Vasilique Mort (previously with a different artist name) to do an illustration. You can see that on the art page and short story page for that book.
- I have donated my earnings (such as they are!!!!) again. To be completely honest, earnings have been tiny, so I have been supplementing my donations a bit. Still, thank you to everyone who has purchased anything and thus contributed to my donations. This donation goes to Cadus.

- The tone of this post is a bit different than my posts here usually are, and that’s because I’m in a bit of a struggle regarding what to do with my writing. Being a very small-time self-published author can be very lonely, and of course it’s natural to want more people to read your work. At the same time, I don’t necessarily know what my approach should be to improve the reach of future projects or attempt traditional publishing. Moving forward, I want to analyze and improve my work, respond to criticism/a lack of success with greater equanimity and self-compassion while being able to learn from it, and continue to write stories that mean a lot to me. But with school, internship, and a very stressful new job, I am not sure how much of that is going to be possible in the next year or so. I will still update here when I have things worth sharing, and I wish you all the best until I write again!
